As the Human Resources Manager with Synlait Milk you will enjoy working across all areas of this fast paced and growing business in what is very much a generalist HR role. Reporting to the General Manager Human Resources and Quality, you will be responsible for providing excellent HR support, driving the Workplace Safety Management Programme, ensuring positive employee relations, building high performing teams as well as leading a small Payroll and Recruitment team, and guiding initiatives to ensure Synlait Milk is a great place to work.

To be successful in the position you will need to be a confident communicator who will support and encourage managers to take responsibility for the day to day management of their teams. You will also eagerly participate in the development and delivery of the HR strategy and will work proactively with the business to continually demonstrate the valuable support that the team provides.

Process Improvement Manager

Due to our continual growth and improvement strategy the position of Process Improvement Manager has been created, reporting to the GM Supply Chain. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a central part of the organisation working across multiple activity streams. The primary focus is in leading the delivery of business wide efficiency initiatives linked to profitability and key customer service KPIs .

Key responsibilities of this role include:

•Implement, lead, coach and maximise end to end process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
•Support Business Managers in major change initiatives for the benefit of the Business Units and the organisation as a whole.
•Establish continuous improvement practices and mature process management practices.

As this is a newly created position it is vital that you are able to demonstrate sound analytical, persuasion and negotiation skills as well as have the intuitiveness to be able to assess situations quickly and effectively within a manufacturing environment. Through your experience you will have honed your coaching and mentoring expertise, be assertive yet professional in your communication style as well as having the endurance and attitude to adapt to a challenging and constantly changing environment.
